2020 - Year 2

The theme throughout the second year of the programme is narrative photography. There is a significant emphasis on large format analogue photography as well as learning key skills in blending documentary storytelling with innovative contemporary photography methods. This is aligned with an in-depth introduction to the key debates in history, theory and criticism. Students are encouraged to produce and place their work in professional contexts. In recent years this has included the publication of a portfolio in the prestigious European photography journal Camera Austria.
