Nyah O'Connor
My work has evolved significantly over the last year. The last two semesters have been a huge learning curve for me and I’ve loved it. I’ve really enjoyed working in the studio, street and on location lately. As always, I’ve been inspired by music, art and the people around me but also by photographers like Tom Wood, Diana Arbus and Vivian Maier. I continue to love working in all genres of photography but recently I’ve become more focussed on documentary.
Commute to College
This project documents the long commute I have to and from college everyday. I wanted to capture that half asleep feeling of being on that bus everyday, listening to album after album, watching the countryside slowly turn into the city.
Alternative Irish Fashion
It seems since the pandemic people have figured out a lot about themselves and realized how many things they were doing because of other peoples' perception of them. When that was taken out of the equation for a long period of time many people have become more expressive and authentic in what they do with their life and their appearance.
